Ulicka (Machinarium) by Amanita Design

Machinarium by Amanita Design generated a great deal of attention to their interpretation to the point-and-click puzzle adventure by bringing together hand-drawn aesthetics, complicated logic puzzled, adorable and sympathetic design with social commentary all in a wordless pantomime.

All of this is brought to the player subtly - the slow pace of movement, play, and mechanics reflect the patience of Amanita’s stylistic choices. This print depicts the life in the streets and passages of the city of discarded mechanical objects; musicians, neighbors and the player’s nameless robot fade into a confined urban space that paradoxically seems like it could extend forever in alleys, stairs and other details.
