Elder Scrolls

Fun fact: the second Elder Scrolls game, 1994’s Daggerfall, still has one of the biggest maps ever in a game, stretching over 200 square kilometres and featuring over 15,000 towns. Elder Scrolls has always been an ambitious, grand series, and with Skyrim it reached its zenith. The 2011 RPG – which casts you as a “Dragonborn”, who can yield their special powers to right the wrongs of the world…or, if they want, go on long, tangential quests, getting married and building homes and joining guilds. Elder Scrolls is about immersing yourself in enormous fantasy worlds and deciding how you want to play, and no other series does it better.
