Debuting in 1987 on the Sega Master System, the Phantasy Star series continues to this day, with a long list of games. One of the pioneer first person role-playing games on console, along with Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star helped establish a genre that continues to flourish and delight gamers all over the world. It might not be as big as FF, but it's not far off.
