    That seems kinda niche

It is, but hear me out...

Video game magazines are often viewed as cheap and disposable.

But for a generation of kids raised in the pre-internet 90s, they were more than a source of news and entertainment. 1. They introduced us to new digital worlds beyond the confines of the suburbs. 2.  They connected us with a broader community of like-minded kids.

They were also our foundational texts. From the ads to the editorials, these magazines provided many of us with our first taste of social commentary, politics, marketing and more. In the process they helped us understand the world and our place in it. For that, they deserve to be celebrated (and studied).

Forgotten Worlds magazine look at the lasting impact of video game magazines on a generation of kids. They're more than just magazines. More than just collectors item. They're historical references... and lovely coffee table items.
