Dragon Slayer
Dragon Slayer is a series of video games developed and published by Nihon Falcom. The first Dragon Slayer title is an early action role-playing game, released in 1984 for early PC play. Designed by Yoshio Kiya, the game gave rise to a series of sequels, and became historically significant as both a founder of the JRPG genre, and as the forerunner of action role-playing games. Without the Dragon Slayer series, gamers never get some of the most significant gaming franchises ever made, such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Fire Emblem (as well as many others).
