Game & Watch was a line of handheld electronic games made by Nintendo between 1980 to 1991. Conceived by Gunpei Yokoi, the Game & Watch was Nintendo's earliest product to achieve major commercial success and at the same time, inspired the development of the Game Boy.
The Game & Watch popularised the idea of handheld gaming for the first time and forever changed the landscape of gaming. Its influence can be felt even today with the Nintendo Switch.
This piece is a 3D depiction of the the Game & Watch console with 'Ball' shown on the screen, being the first game in the series.
The art is printed on high grade glossy card stock many times over, and then painstakingly precision hand cut and layered many times to create the eye popping 3D effect. Perfect for hanging or displaying on a shelf, and comes complete with hanger and stand.
Due to the handmade nature of this product, the artwork may vary slightly from piece to piece.
