Shenmue is a cult action-adventure game designed by Yu Suzuki and published by SEGA on the Dreamcast in 1999. It consisted of open world 3D environments layered with Brawler battles and quick time events. It was unique in that it incorporated many elements such as life-simulation, role-playing and social simulations games and combined this with variable weather effects, a day and night system, non playable characters with daily routines and interactive gaming aspects such as mini games, vending machines and full Arcade Games (including SEGA classics like Space Harrier & Outrun!).
At the time, it was the most expensive game ever produced but sadly, was a commercial failure. It has since developed quite a following and is a wonderful addition to video game history.
This diorama pays tribute to this cult classic and the artwork is printed on high grade glossy card stock many times over, and then painstakingly precision hand cut and layered many times to create the eye popping 3D effect. Perfect for hanging or displaying on a shelf, and comes complete with hanger and stand.
Due to the handmade nature of this product, the artwork may vary slightly from piece to piece.
